Happy Tuesday!

Today I have Two of the most amazing handmade nail polishes EVARR!! So, when KBShimmer first started getting into nail polish she did came out with a bang. It took me a while to get my hands on these... But these two pretties have been KBShimmer staples for a while and I am so happy to finally have them as part of my collection. KB Classics photo KB_zps8ba25689.jpg
Both swatches are shown with a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on top for smoothness and shine.

KBShimmer Toucan Touch This
Toucan Touch This is an incredibly unique, neon Lime Green based crelly glitter blend. Get all that? It's so complex but so much fun. The neon lime green base is like nothing else in my collection. There is a rainbow of hexes in varying sizes as well as micro bars suspended in this awesome base. I freaking love this color and I wore it for a good week and still did not want to take it off. The formula on this shade is AMAZING, I had no issues with glitter spread and it did great in Three thin coats.
Pardon the "lobster hands" I had to do some editing to get the color to look right in the pics. It's SOO bright!
KBShimmer Oh Splat!
Oh Splat! is the bestest, White crelly based, rainbow hex glitter blend. If you are a fan of the "birthday batter", "poptart icing and/ or cupcake polish look... Then you need this pretty. This shade has the best formula and great spread of glitter. I used Three thin coats.

Raise your hand if you've had these for ever!! I really feel kind of shamed that it took me so long to get my hands of these. I really send a huge thanks out to Christy Rose for always being such a rockstar and so kind and generous to LTHP! I am always honored and stoked to rock her creations!

Thanks for stopping by loves!!

Happy Humpday!!

I am a baby, a huge scaredy cat. I don't do horror movies. I don't do "horror theme park nights". I remember one year I tried going to Busch Gardens Howl-O- Scream, which is apparently tame... And I left in a panic attack. I remember a boyfriend took me to see "Silent Hill" when it came out in theaters, I didn't sleep for weeks. I. DON'T. DO. HORROR. I just can't. I have this scumbag brain, that can create all sorts of horrifying images all on its own, I don't need any help hahha....
That said.. I LOOOOOVE Halloween Nail Polishes.. Especially of they are by the amazing Dollish Polish! Last year Dolly blew us away with her This is Halloween Collection. Which, BTW will be making a short comeback this year for a limited time during the month of October. This year Dolly has created Eight new, horror- movie inspired polishes. Each individual polish is inspired by a cult classic horror movie and they are just spectacular!
DP Halloween Frights photo DPHalloweenFrights_zps67261f9a.jpg
I must confess I've not seen most of the movies that inspired these shades, for the reason mentioned above lol. I am a huge baby, like seriouly haha. And even these beauties will not make me want to watch them hahha. Well, Ok I have seen "The Shining" and "The Exorcist"... but I hated every second of it ahhah. To see closeup swatches of these Halloween Beauties just keep on reading.

All swatches are shown with a top coat for smoothness and shine. To see more about the movie inspiration behind each shade head to [THIS ALBUM] on the Dollish Polish Facebook page.

Dollish Polish Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake
Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake is a crazy beautiful Cerulean Blue jelly base packed full of prismatic Silver dots and hexes in varying sizes. There is also Blue, Black and Aqua glitter in there that gives incredible depth to this color. There are also HUGE dots, but I had no luck getting one of those on the nail. This shade is really easy to work with and the glitter spread is fantastic. I used Three thin coats for my swatch. I did not want to take this off at all!

Dollish Polish The Cuse of Michael Meyers over Sation Wine-y Happy People
The Curse of Michael Meyers is a crazy amazing blend of Copper, Orange, Yellow, Gold and Gold shifting glitter in a clear base. There are hexes, dots and squares in a mad mix of fiery tones that all seem to come together perfectly to create the most beautiful effect ever. I used one coat of glitter over my base color. The spread of the glitter is fantastic.

Dollish Polish I'll Swallow Your Soul
I am just in complete and utter awe of this shade. If all Brown polishes were this amazing maybe I'd dig 'em more. So this beauty is a rich shimmering Brown base packed full of small Golden, Copper and Red flakes. This shade is just magnificent and has so many qualities that make it a huge win for me. It has a great formula, looks lit from with and the flakes are just beautiful. I used Three thin coats for my swatch. I love the "ember-y" look of this pretty.

Dollish Polish What and Excellent Day for an Exorcism
What and Excellent Day for an Exorcism is a neat, toxic sludge, neon Green crelly base. Packed in the base is a beautiful micro shimmer, neon Green shards, Black shards, neon Green squares and Silver dots. This shade is insanely insane and I love it for that. The inspiration behind this one is so clearly represented. I don't think Dolly could have done a better job capturing the essence of this movie with this shade.

Dollish Polish They're Hereee!
O.M.Geeee!!! They're Hereeee! is an amaaaazing shade of Blurple shimmer packed in a Blurple jelly base. This pretty shifts from Blue to Violet and there are also hints of Pink at extreme angles. I could not get over how shimmery this shade is, just amazing! I used Three thin coats for this swatch.

Dollish Polish Redrum
Holo's Here!!!!!!!!!! Redrum is a beautiful shade of deep, Mauve- toned, Red holographic. The holo effect is somewhere in between scattered and linear.  This shade is really saturated with color and does well in Two coats. The holo is insanely in Sunlight of course.

Dollish Polish They're Coming to Get You Barbara over Sation Tirra-Miss You
They're Coming to Get you Barbara is a sheer green jelly base packed with an interesting blend of Red bars, Red squares Black and slight Grey hexes as well as bright, neon Green (Back light reactive) hexes and Skully shaped glitters. There are also huge Black dots and Black moons but I had no luck getting those on my nails. This is a really interesting shade and feels very zombie-esque. I just love the Skull shaped glitters too. I used Two coats of TCTGYB over my base color.

Dollish Polish 1, 2 Freddy's Coming for You over Sation Don Wanabe
1, 2 Freddy's Coming For You is a glitter bomb made up of all hexes in Green, vivid Magenta Pink and Black as well as Silver micro shimmer suspended in a clear base. I LOOOVE this glitter bomb. I wouldn't sat it necessarily feels very Halloween to me.. But who cares!!? Just look at it!! It is gorgeous!! I used one generous coat of glitter over my base color for this swatch.
Now, this shade is really packed with glitter and I thought I could have worn it on it's own, so I I tried... It went.. Ok haha. I like it MUCH better layered because then you can really see all of the different glitter colors as well, as the awesome texture/effect this blend of colors creates. I used Three generous coats of 1, 2 Freddy's Coming For You to achieve this look below.

The Dollish Polish Halloween Frights Collection will be available online from the Dollish Polish Online Shop on October First. Dollish Polish will also be bringing back the This is Halloween Collection again this year for a limited time only. These shades will on sale for TWO weeks only, October 6th through the 19th. So if you missed out on this amazing collection last year, this is your chance to snag the ones you missed!

I am really just LOVING what Dollish Polish does with her Halloween collections. The girl sure knows how to capture her concepts so clearly with her polishes. I really love that each polish here honours a classic horror film, and that each polish really does beautifully represent the film that inspired them. Brava Dolly!!

My faves here are I'll Swallow Your Soul, Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake, What an Excellent Day for an Exorcism and The Curse of Michael Meyers. But they are seriously all spectacular. I hope she has made LOTS of these, because I have a feeling you guys will really love these!!

Now tell me? which of these are you loving?? Also, what are your feelings on horror flicks?

Cult Nails Mish-Mash Nail Art for @TheMakeupShow #TMSOrlando

(**Press Samples**)
Good afternoon my loves!!

Today I feel slightly hungover. No, I was not out drinking last night. I don't drink, ever (more like can't)... Anywho, I was at The Makeup Show in Orlando all weekend long and it was a beauty high for the ages. If you follow me on Instagram(@L_T_H_P) you may have gotten a glimpse of the madness that was this amazing show. I will be doing a few posts dedicated to the show. There was a lot of amazing things going on, and I really want to share some of my experiences with you guys.
Since Cult Nails had a booth at the show I decided to do a mani that mish-mashed a ton of Cult Nails shade into one amazing manicure. I wanted to represent for Cult Nails, not only because I consider Maria a friend, but because they are a brand that calls Florida home and I think that is pretty neat. Cult Nails also produces an amazing product, they never disappoint, and they always think outside of the box in their approach to seasonal collections. For me, they are a breath of fresh- air with every new collection because all of their color are always so different from everything else that is on the market at the time. SO, yeah.. I had to pimp some Cult Nails, and this is what I did :D. This look features shades from the Dance All Night, Road Trip and All Access Collections.
CN TMS Nails photo DSCN1150_zps02579d29.jpg
I will have reviews of Road Trip and All Access up very soon! I think it would be easier to break down this look by fingernail so.. let's do this!!
-Thumb and Pinky Nails: Feedback over Dance All Night over Mayhem over Wack Slacks. This was also done on my Pinky nails and you can see just how beautiful this layering turned out. They looked like some kind of jewel.
-Index Nail: Two Timer over All Out over Grunge. This layering created one of the coolest and most unique shades I've ever rocked! Maria didn't believe me when I told her it was all Cult Nails heehee. In the photo above I am holding All Out. You need this polish. I also did this same layering on my Ring fingernail.
-Middle Nail: Walk of Shame over Center of Attention over Be Loco. OMG, OMG, OMG. Ok, yes, so I LOVE this. I wish I had taken a macro of this nail because it was seriously so pretty and so girly and just SPARKLY!
For the stamped details I used Bundle Monster plate BM201 for the zig- zag pattern. For the geometric pattern I used Cheeky Plate CH13. I used Konad Black special polish for the stamps. I finished my whole look off with a coat of Wicked Fast, except for the stamped nails for which I used Seche Vite to avoid smudging the stamped designs.
During the show I had actually accented my nails with some Nail Veils by Chronicle Stones, but I didn't manage to snap a good pic of that. So here is an "ok cell" pic. I do want to go over the Nail Veils soon. I just adore these pieces. They are so edgy and different.
So here is a crappy cell pic of these awesome pieces. I will have an actual post soon! Oh and I ended up accenting my index with moons in You're my Dandylion and Inglot glitter stripes. I already had quite a bit of shrinkage going on at this point ahaha.
You can find out more about Nail Veils by visiting their site http://nailveils.com/. The pinkie piece with the dangle is one of my faves. It makes me feel very "old school glam". Or maybe like something Effie Trinket would wear. The piece on my middle finger can be customized by adding gems to the centers of the flowers. Su, the creator can make them with genuine gemstones or you can get them blank so you can use your own stones. These, semi-precious metal pieces are re-usable which would allow you to change the gems in the Flower veil piece. If you follow celeb nail artist Pattie Yankee, she is a huge fan of Nail Veils, and even had her own custom line created for NYFW this year.

Below are pics of my base colors which I will be reviewing soon they are Grunge, Be Loco and Wack Slacks. It is always so much fun for me to see the transformation of my nails from canvases to completed look.

Oh and for fun here is a sneak of the awesomeness that went down at The Makeup Show Orlando. This model was painted by the artists of the Makeup For Ever Academy. I always look forward to their booth because their demos are surreal, and their creature concepts are always beautiful and beautifully executed. This model was working the heck out of this look!! She was sparkling from head to toe.
My outfit, which pales in comparison to the beauty standing next to me, is all Black Milk Clothing. I wore The Awesome Suit as my top sine I wanted to show off my back tattoo. The skirt is the Purple galaxy skater skirt and I am also rocking the flapper hosiery. I went with simple converses because we had to do a lot of walking, but I liked it that way. The kitty ears are by Locketship.

This year's show was an insane amount of fun. I met so many amazing people, and I got to show of my technicolor, armored nails all day long Saturday and Sunday. It was fun to wear my crazy makeup and not get stared at and it was even more fun to discuss all this beautiful makeup and all these new innovations with people who are just as passionate about this industry as I (we) are.

I'm really looking forward to sharing a few more posts about this show, because it really is an amazing resource for people in the industry or people trying to get into the beauty industry. That, and it was just too much of an amazing experience not to share with you guys! They are so welcoming, and they really give you the opportunity to be exposed to some of the most amazing influences in the MUA community.

For more info about The Makeup Show you can head to their site http://www.themakeupshow.com/.

Thank you so much for stopping by today my painted beauties!! I hope you enjoyed my Cult Nails mish-mash :D.

Happy October!! Kicking the Month Off in a Bettina and Dollish Polish Halloween Watermarble

Good afternoon loves and happy October!!

I am just in awe that it is already October! So I have decided to kick off the month in a fun Halloween themed mani. I wanted to step out of the "spooky" norm and do something colorful, that still felt "Halloween" to me. What better way to do this than by doing a candy-looking watermarble? Of course I turned to my trusty Bettina shades for the marble. I actually had a lot of fun working on these because I intentionally wanted the patterns to be random on each nail.
Bettina and DP Marble photo Sep302013_zpseb004ea5.jpg
To really bring it to "Halloween speed" I layered Dollish Polish Somethings up With Jack from last year's Halloween collection. Which, BTW, will be making a short comeback this year for Two weeks on October 6th. I also accented my middle nail with a little Sugar skull water decal from O.P.I's Halloween set from last year.
I am so madly in love with the combination of colors and how the glitter sets everything off. The skully makes it fun and cute :D. I really think the addition of the glitter really made this mani :D. I just loved the "This is Halloween" collection so much, I had to find a way to work one of the shades into this look.

And of course, I have to show you guys the marble, which I am still madly in love with. So much so, that I didn't even do my signature coat of INM Northern Lights sparkles. I really wanted them to look like candies. For the marble I started with a base of Cult Nails Tempest. For the marble portion I used all Bettina shades; the green is Hopeful, the Orange shade is Epic and the Yellow is Art Deco Yellow. As usual these polishes were a dream to marble with and I could not be happier with the end result ;). I used a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish my whole look.

Happy October!! I hope it's not too early to start with the Halloween looks heehee!! Halloween looks are just so fun to work on. I hope I can get a few more done before we have to buckle down for our cross country move.

I hope you guys enjoyed this look. Thanks for stopping by my painted beauties!

Good evening loves!!

Today I have a makeup post for you guys... Mainly because I have no nails ready to go just yet. I'm drowning in Fall nail polish collections and trying my hardest to get trough them as quickly as possible. So, this past weekend I got to attend The Makeup Show in Orlando, as many of you guys may already know, if you follow me on Instagam (@L_T_H_P). I always take these shows as an opportunity to really go kind of crazy(er) with my makeup, because no one judges you there, in fact it is embraced. I live in "small town Fl" and here ppl look at me as if I ate babies for breakfast because I am different....and awesome.. lol.
I was super excited to finally get a chance to play with my Sugarpill Elektrocutes neon, sparkly pigments. I also got a chance to play with my Cold Chemistry palette, which I got a few weeks back and just had not had a chance to play with it.
I also listened to you guys on my last #EOTD post and I am (with much trepidation) sharing full face pictures on this post as well. A lot of you beauties suggested that I show how the eye makeup worked with the whole face look so.. yeah :D.... Granted they are IG shots, but... baby steps :D.
 photo newersp_zps205f3e08.jpg
To find out what I used for these looks and see some full face shots just continue reading ♥.

All of these looks feature Sugarpill eye shadows. From their ChromaLust pigments, to their new ElektroCute neons pigments. I also feature the Cold Chemistry Palette in this post.

Violet,Bright and Fun
- Prep: Urban Decay Anti-Aging primer potion. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk concentrated on the lid area.
- Browbone: A mix of Tako and Lumi.
- Transitional shade: 2am and a bit of Flamepoint towards the inner corner.
- Crease: Decora and Dollipop layered.
- Lid: Love Buzz (neon Pink), Hysteric (shimmering Purple), Hellatronic (Neon Blue)
- Crease: Decora and Dollipop layered. Darkened at the outer edges with Poison Plum, which I also blended over my lid shades.
- Lower Lashline: Inner corner: Lumi and Tako, middle Dollipop and Poison Plum. The whole outer V  of my eye (top and bottom) is done in Hellatronic and a bit of Velocity to darken it a bit.
-Waterline and Tightline in Urban Decay Perversion glide on pencil.
- Cateye: Nars eye-paint in Black. Inner corner point I did with the Jesse's girl waterproof liner pen. This was only my Third time trying out the inner corner. I really love the look, though clearly I've not mastered it quite yet hee hee. That will not stop me from practicing though.
- Mascara: Ellis Faas Black Mascara
- Brows: Milani Shadow Eyez in Espresso Line set with Senna brow gel.

I am wearing circle lenses from Pinky Paradise. These are the Vassen Lollipop series in Violet. I must say I just love them. They really give that "anime" dolly look to the eye... and they match my hair :D. These are also really comfy!!
Here are some full face shots of this look. I forget what I was wearing on my lips. I want to say it was NYX Matte lippy in Shocking Pink. I got told on FB that I looked kinda like a drag queen (not the first time it's happened, won't be the last. I wear loud, obnoxious makeup... it makes me happy and I'm not hurting anyone)... Which I guess must have meant I was looking FAAAAAAABULOUS lololol. BTW, I make lots of faces haha. And yes, I am aware my features are androgynous. It's all good.

Neon Peacock?

- Lid: Hi-Viz ( neon Yellow), Sparkage (neon Green), Darling was placed on the entire outer corner of my eye and then slightly blended up into my crease.

- Waterline and Tightline: Urban Decay Perversion glide on pencil.
- Cateye: Nars eye paint in Black. For the inner corner I used my Jesse's Girl pen for better control.

For this look I am wearing circle lenses from Pinky Paradise. These are the Geo X-tra Bella in Blue and these are some of my faves in my little circle lens stash.
Here is a full shot of this face. I didn't really manage to get a good shot of this one because I was in a rush this day. Look! There's even a Mr. LTHP photobomb. I want to say I was wearing a Revlon Balm Stain on my pout... I just cannot remember which one haha.

Dark and Moody
Disclaimer: This photo was taken after this makeup had been on for about 12 hours or so o.O

I went really dramatic with this look, but I absolutely loved it! This look features shades from the Cold Chemistry Palette.
- Prep: Urban Decay Anti-Aging primer potion. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk concentrated on the lid area.
- Browbone: Tako mixed with a bit of Diamond Eyes.
- Crease: Elemental Chaos, the outer corner of my crease is darkened with Soot and Stars, which I also took all the way into the inner corner of my crease. I love the color that Soot and Stars creates when mixed with Elemental Chaos.
- Lid: Diamond Eyes. The outer corner is darkened with a bit of Soot and Stars.
- Lower lashline: Inner corner- Diamond Eyes. The rest of my lower lash line was done with Subterranean.
- Waterline: Jordana 12hr made to last pencil in Jade Jewel set with Subterranean
- Tightline: Urban Decay pencil in Perversion.
- Mascara: Ellis Faas Black Mascara
- Brows: Milani Shadow Eyez in Espresso Line set with Senna brow gel.
Here is my full face shot for this look. This pic was taken at around 10:00-ish PM, after a very long and exciting day at The Makeup Show Orlando. I am just beyond impressed at how well the vibrancy and shimmer held through the day. I also had zero fallout of shimmer or creasing of my shadow. On my lips was Revlon Balm Stain in Smitten.
 photo spcoldchem_zpsc05345e9.jpg

I hope you guys enjoyed these looks. I know they are very bright, and kind of really out there for a lot of people.. But let me tell you, they were just SO much fun to work on! This kind of makeup makes me happiest. Sometimes I look crazy, and that is ok. That is how I learn what works best on me, and what techniques work best for me. Like everything, it is a definite learning process.
I really encourage you guys to have fun with your makeup. On days when I feel really sick and the world looks bleak... I play with makeup, I practically play "dress up"... like a little girl :D. Sometimes dealing with what I deal with can leave a girl feeling pretty damn bad about herself, and one has to find ways to cope, right? Mine is to dress up, paint my nails and face and go around like Purple hair is the norm. Oh, I also have this crazy blog thing I do ;). You guys seriously don't know how much your feedback and interactions mean to me... I refuse to look on the outside as bad as I feel on the inside. I love that with makeup I can, in way, hide what is wrong with me (health wise) and feel like a normal, fierce girl. When I am in my crazy colorful, and even "dragtacular" faces I'm not "sick Cris", I'm "Cris the Colorful".... and I'd rather go by that ANY day :D. Sorry for getting a bit off topic there. I just really wanted to vent I guess...

I really appreciate you guys stopping by today!!

Random post time!

Last weekend I got to attend The Makeup Show in Orlando. That is where one of my dreams came true. I got to "meet" Sutan Amrull, of ANTM and RuPaul's Drag Race fame. He might be better known to some of you as the amazing Raja Gemini, winner of Season Three of RPDR. I got to watch this man in action and it was incredible. I also got to turn into a bumbling idiot in front of him, but who cares?!! I actually met one of my idols. I got to watch him work and the entire thing was just incredible.
 photo DSCN1417_zps582c78d0.jpg

Sutan and James Vincent go way back to working together at the first M.A.C counter. It was really surreal to have exposure to such incredible talent in one place.

MAAAANY more pics after the jump ♥.

His keynote was incredibly inspiring to me. I found myself in tears at some points because of how much he allows people to relate to his story. While he prepped his model, whom he had met minutes before his keynote we watched [THIS VIDEO] on SoulPancake. It was really quite touching.
 photo DSCN1398_zpsbead3177.jpg

At this point he had begun a Q&A session with his crowd while working on his model, Robert. If I recall Sutan worked mainly with the MUFE Flash Palette and Skin Toned Flash Palette. He literally came up with this look on the spot and it was mazing to watch him work while he chatted away with the crowd. He was going for a halloween inspired, editorial gothy look.

Oh yes, there were many awesome hand gestures. How amazing is that makeup though!!?!
 photo DSCN1410_zps6cb97501.jpg
The twigs were glued on with cosmetic glue. I forget which one now... Sutan pulled these twigs out of what he referred to as his "sh*it bag" lool.
 photo DSCN1411_zpsa45dfd73.jpg

Seriously!!!?? This really happened?
 photo DSCN1414_zpsf8733405.jpg
Hahah, I so don't belong in this pic, but who cares?!! Two of my idols and myself in one picture? Yes please!!! BTW, most of my wardrobe was Black Milk Clothing. I wore The Awesome Suit as a top, the flapper hoisery and the Purple Galaxy skater skirt. The kitty ears are from Locketship. It was so much fun to dress like myself and not have people gawking at me  lolol.. I mean, I know I'm kind of a spectacle.. But jeez... Isn't staring rude in any kind of scenario? Like, no matter what the person looks like? Anyways, back to the topic.... I F*CK*NG LOVE THESE MEN!!!
 photo DSCN1415_zps6386f6e0.jpg

Poor James was literally running all over the room trying to keep up with all the questions people had. It was awesome when he sat to take a break next to me. This is my second time meeting James and he has always treated me as if he knew me for years. It is a wonderful thing!!
 photo DSCN1409_zps52e78d66.jpg

This is a video my amazing husband took of Sutan speaking of his upcoming project. He is working on writing and illustrating a children's book based on the view point of a dress. If you have a minute I really suggest watching this video. It is an adorable story and I cant wait to see the actual book hit shelves.

This seriously meant the world to me. While I spent time sick on my couch, and being able to do nothing, I'd watch his episodes of RPDG over and over because I loved his point of view on everything. And, related to him so much. I love his aesthetic and his passion for what he does. So, while I may have not been feeling as fab, watching him and all these other amazing men be amazing at their craft was an inspiration to me to be awesome at my craft.

This may be a weird post, but OMG I seriously had the chance to meet one of my BIGGEST idols. I got to watch him work. He was  do down to Earth and had so much great advice. I left from his keynote on a crazy beauty high. After his keynote, he walked the show floor like a rockstar and did not mind taking about a million pics with fans. I loved how humble and real he was with everyone.

Thanks for stopping by!

LTHP Dabbles: Makeup Inspired by the Film "Black Swan"

Changes,

They are sudden. They happen often, they happen when you least expect them.... I like to think we are all in control of our own destiny and that we can make changes for the better, and for the worse sometimes too. What this little ramble brings me to is that husband and I are in the middle of a VERY big transition. We will be leaving Florida tomorrow and driving to California to start our new lives. Yes, it is daunting and hectic, but we are excited and hopeful.
So, in keeping with the theme of changes and transitions I want to share my very first "Halloween Look" (if you want to call it that). I really just wanted to take on the character of Nina Sayers (The Black Swan), since the film came out back in 2010. All of a sudden I was finding myself relating to this character very much. There are so many changes in my life that are requiring me to change my complete outlook on many things. I'm growing, I guess? But much like Nina, I feel like things are changing within me (and sometimes I feel straight up crazy). So without further rambles, here is my take on the iconic Black Swan poster look.
I created my own custom "Black Swan" tiara. I really wish I had the time to have done the full costume. Anyhow, this was very challenging for me. This whole thing was a HUGE step out of my comfort zone, but I am SO happy I took it on. Why? Because I LOVE a challenge, and I love trying new things. I know the film has been out for over Three years, but as you can see it made a big impression on me... Actually all of Darren Aronofsky's films seem to do that to me. So I took on his Black Swan...
 photo BlackSwanOfficial_zpsa21a9031.jpg
I wont go into much detail about how to achieve the look because there are about a MILLION tutorials on You Tube on how to do this look, and a million different ways. I never meant for it to be an exact replica. I wanted to do my interpretation of such an iconic look. The hardest part was getting an even White "foundation" as I had to use cheap costume makeup and get creative with my Sugarpill Tako white eyeshadow lol. For the eyes I used mostly liquid liners to achieve the feathery look. For the metallic and shimmering details I used Sugarpill Tiara and Lumi mixed with a mixing medium to create a metallic "paint". Of course some editing was done to the photo to achieve that evil and dark look the poster has to it. I'm just obsessed with Black Swan.
I finished the look with some Red Vassen Lollipop circle lenses from Pinky Paradise and added feather lashes by Ardell. My lips were done in OCC's Black Metal Dahlia. To me the big finishing touch was my custom made tiara.

Below you can see a closeup of the eye makeup detail. This was SO much fun to work on. I get two things from this look. There is the Black Swan vibe, but I am also getting an evil butterfly queen from this too.

Below you can also see detail shots of the tiara and I've posted some videos on how I achieved my custom piece. I had SO much fun working on this entire look. Is it perfect? NO, far from it.. But you know what? I don't care! I took something on that was WAAAAAY out of my skill set and brought it to life in a way I didn't know I had in me.

Here are some vids explaining the process of the making of the tiara.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this post. I really poured my heart and soul into this mini project and it felt good to do so. Plus, since I will be moving during Halloween, might as well "dress up" now ;)!! But, in all seriousness, this was a challenge I've been meaning to take on for many years and I am so happy and excited to finally see it come to life.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this look. This whole post is very meaningful to me, for many different reasons. I really enjoyed working on this entire thing so much :D. Tomorrow we will be on the road to our new lives and I am excited to see what these changes will bring... Hopefully they don't end with me stabbing myself in the belly with a broken piece of glass though...... Oh and if you have not seen Black Swan, please DO SO!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today my loves!! And please send all the good vibes our way ♥.!

Zoya PixiDusts in Arabella and Sunshine and Catching Up

Good evening!!

LTHP is officially in Cali-land!! I wanted to do a quick post to share with you this pairing I did with two of Zoya's newer PixiDust shades. I went with Arabella and Sunshine. I rocked this mani for about Five days and my nails still looked perfect come removal day! I have said it a million times before and I will say it again.. Zoya has this texture thing DOWN!!! They make such beautiful shades. I love how they play with "metallic matte" bases and plain shimmering matte bases. These pretties have amazing formulas and could have almost been one coat each. I did Two thin coats to get a really sparkly effect.
Arabella is a beautiful Raspberry toned textured polish. The base almost appears matte metallic and the shimmer in this pretty compliments the base. Meaning, the twinkle is Pink and lights up the deep, saturated Raspberry base beautifully. Sunshine is an amazingly saturated shade of Navy Blue matte base with tons of Silver Sparkle to light up the dark base. These are just beautifully executed and looked amazing together.  In the photo above they were fully dry so you guys can get the full effect of the matte/ sparkle goodness.

Here about 20 minutes has passed after application, as you can see there is still some shine to them here, but still beautiful as ever.

PS: I've been rocking Carter and Dhara on my toes for about four weeks now and they are still looking amazing! I think out of all the textures the Pixi Dust line has to be some of my faves. They are just beautiful and the wear is incredible!!

The move from Florida to Cali was very smooth, long, but smooth. We are now in Big Bear Lake, California. For the next few weeks I will be blogging out of a small cabin in the woods, and have NO nail stuff with me. The rest of out stuff is being shipped here and then will go into storage until we find a home. I has a sad.. However, I do have a few fashion-y, make-up-y posts that I can share.. So I'm thinking of doing an "LTHP Fashion week" since I don't have much nail material to blog with at the moment. I hope you guys bear (bare?) with me during this transition period. LTHP will dabble in all things girly and awesome while I wait for the rest of my nail babies to get t me. There is a lot that Mr. LTHP and I have to get done to start our new lives off right in Cali. SO, yeah... LOTS of changes, bit changes.
I'm excited and nervous, I really want things to go well for us out here in California as it is an area we have been wanting to be in for years.

Thanks for stopping by today loves!

LTHP Style! Burning Artists Collective Geode Designs 'Ello Scratch Leggings- A Story of how Mr. LTHP and I Tried to Meet Aliens

'Ello Lovely readers!!!

Today I have a story for you. A story about how the husband and I went to Cali and back, saw some awesomeness, and tried to meet some aliens. As you guys know I have an affinity for all things nylon, shiny, tight and quirky. So.. coming across the awesome indie clothing company, Burning Artists Collective, was an awesome thing for this nylon addict. I absolutely adore their awesome designs and the part where they embrace indie artists... I scored their awesome Piano Score dress, and fell in love with their clothing. I've been very lucky to form a friendship with Teagan Tyze, who created the piano score dress. We loved each others vibe, and they were kind enough to send me a pair of kick ass leggings by Geode Designs called the 'Ello Scratch legs to have some fun with.
So, I wore them in an attempt to be friendly to any visitors we might have encountered... Just in case we met any aliens while at the Petrified Forest in Arizona. This was easily one of the most amazing and beautiful places I have ever been to. So husband and I decided to do a little shoot in featuring my neat-o leggings and document any alien encounters that might have happened ;). We had a ton of fun working on this little story so I hope you guys enjoy this post. Something a little different for funsies ♥.
There are a few pics so just keep on reading to find out what happened. Oh and... I just had to "meme" this pic lololol! I'm having fun with this whole "blogging thing" from now on! I want to share all of my creativeness with you guys. I always welcome a new challenge and transitions. But, oh yes... There will be nails.. and makeup... and fashion.. and kitties and nonsense. Afterall, my "tagline" does promise all those things hahaa. Let them have Polish!!! From head to toes!!!
 photo ellofront-1_zpsd8c3bc5e.jpg

SO! Mr. LTHP and I went to the Petrified Forest in Arizona. Well, we stopped there on our way to Cali. Let's not talk about Cali, BTW. Things happened, things went wrong.... Bad timing, whatever, just was not meant to be right now. We are back in Florida safe and sound and that is all that matters. So, we went to this beautiful place and had out minds completely BLOWN by the beauty of the painted desert. There were so many colors, such a quiet beauty. I never wanted to leave... So anywho... we were hoping to meet some aliens ;).

So, I wore my friendly 'Ello legs from BAC. I wanted to be friendly, just in case we met any friendly aliens. After all, it did feel like we were on an alien planet! I just wanted them to know, I just came to say 'Ello!!
The top came from amiclubwear.com. Picked it up a while ago :D. It looked so awesome against the colorful desert background. So anywho, I was trying to be friendly and welcoming. These are the 'Ello Scratch legs by Geode Designs. Which, BTW are on sale!! Oh and yas, I went back to dark hair. Now I have a deep Plum thing going on and totally loving it!!
"So raise your peace sign if you're not useless. We took our peace signs and reduced them to deuces"- Watsky. Of course we had to get shots of the bum details haha.
Me trying to look fierce and such. I figured maybe if I looked fierce the aliens would come and say hi, or beam me up.

But we waited and waited... They never came... Where are you guys?
We looked up and everywhere... But, alas, no friendly visitors. But, let's take a moment to appreciate the beauty that is the colorful, painted desert. This place was just amazingly stunning. I wanted to spend forever here.

So we hung out for a bit :D.
Then I tried doing a peace dance to give the aliens one more shot to come and say 'Ello. :).
But I guess it didn't work :(. But who knows, maybe later on they did come and we just didn't stay long enough haha.

So I had a sad, but gave em one last 'Ello before heading out...
Having some silly fun times with an actual Petroglyph.

And then we merrily skipped off, on our way.

I am really sorry about the posting hiatus. I have been going through some rough times, but things are settling down. Things will be ok. Plan to see a lot of nail art, as I am in a situation where I can't really swatch a lot, but I do/will have the time to focus more on nail art, makeup looks and such.
This makes me happy as this blog is rooted in nail art. I never set out to be a "swatcher". I never set out with any real intentions of this blog even becoming a "thing"... So every day I get t do this, and share my passions with my readers is a gift to me. If you follow me on Facebook, you may also know that "The Black Swan" project awakened a new level of nerdiness in me and I really want to take on the challenge of more character transformations, and even cosplaying. There is so much more to this gal than nails, and I need a new challenge.. I know I keep saying that... So I really hope you guys will stick around for the ride because things should get really fun and interesting in the land of LTHP. I want to share all of my creativity with you guys. I want to empower and inspire.

So, with all that rambling out of the way... I really hope you guys enjoyed this post. The husband and I had a BLAST working on the photos and I am just madly in LUUUUB with Burning Artists Collective. I really hope you guys will check em out, they are having all kinds of sales right now :D!! Who knows, you may just see some designs by LTHP on BAC soon ;)!!!

Thank you all for stopping by today!! I hope you enjoyed this post! And remember to keep it nice if it is not up your alley, please :-|. I hate that I have to even say that, but this blog will be going through a transition and it will not just be nails, all the time anymore. I want to share all of me with you guys and I hope you can appreciate that. Remember, I always pour my heart into each an every post that goes up ♥.

Hi guys,

As many of you know, I'm blogging out of my parental units house and have very little material to work with. Sad Panda... Anyways.. I did want to share with you some of the amazing artistry and random good time photos from The Makeup Show in Orlando. One of my favorite parts of the trade shows is seeing the artistry all around. Seeing normal gals transformed into incredible creatures by uber talented makeup artists... So here are some of my fave pics from TMS Orlando
The Makeup Forever Academy ALWAYS blows me away with their creations. They literally take ALL day to complete, and are always AMAZING.
 photo 20130929_163041_zps2a45bde1.jpg
I could have never "out-fierced" her.. but I sure tried haha!
DAT SPARKLE!! This was my fave "creature" out of the whole show.
For more awesomeness just keep on reading ♥.
Getting started. Several different artists worked on this look.

Look by the Cosmix School of Special FX makeup.

Look from day One by The MUFE Academy. I never got to see this one finished as I started feeling a bit sick on Day One of the show :(.

 Work by Kett Cosmetics.

 Um hawt Zub Zero- YAAAASS!!!!

This group was AMAZING!! They were always in character, all the time. SOO much fun!!

 Some amazing prosthetic work.

 Artwork by Mehron Cosmetics.

One more with this awesome group!

This girl was FIERCE!!

More work by the awesome people at Mehron.

face chart competition. Notice an awesome theme here?

This was mine and the hubs' favorite.

I'm fairly certain that The Makeup Show has a pop up Holiday Show happening soon in NYC. I can't stress enough how amazing this show is. They embrace so many different kinds of artistry, and really give you the opportunity to get to talk to the actual owners and people behind our favorite brands. I'm already impatiently waiting for next year's show!!
So, be honest, how many of you want to be a fierce Ice Goddess right now? I totally do!!

Random Hard Candy Glittah Swatches!

Nails!!!

So, I found these random Hard Candy glittery swatches sittin in my drafts folder... So, I figured, what good are they there? Let me just go ahead and post these.. Since it has only been about Three years since  I posted about nails. K, I may be exaggerating a bit on the Three years, but it definitely feels like it. So, yeah, GLITTER!!
 photo HCCollage_zps69f4453b.jpg
All swatches are shown with a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on top to smooth the surface and bring out shine.

Hard Candy Fireworks over O.P.I In the Cable Carpool Lane
Hard Candy's Firework is from the Crystal Confetti Collection. This pretty  glitter topper is made up of bright Red Bars and Hexes in varying sizes. As well as Blue, deep Fuchsia and Violet glitters. For my layering I chose a deep that kind of matched the glitters itself. I believe the base on this glitter is slightly tinted Pink. I used one generous coat of Firework over my base color.

Hard Candy Fire Flash over O.P.I First Date at the Golden Gate
Fire Flash is a beautiful glitter topper that I was, pretty much, convinced I would hate. This pretty comes from the Glitteratzi collection.  Well, surprise surprise.. It is just amazing on, and really unique. This pretty is made up of all Copper glitter accented with Red hexes. The Red hexes are fairly sparse and for the most part you only get smaller bits of densely packed Copper glitter. Turns out this pretty is also very unique in my collection. I found the Copper glitter to have no dupes in my collection.

Hard Candy Glamour Girl over O.P.I Lost on Lombard
Glamour Girl is part of the Glitteratzi Collection as well. This cute topper is made up of micro Pink sparkles accented by vibrant pink hexes. I think this polish could also be worn on its own as the small Pink sparkle was packed really densely in the clear base. I used one generous coat of glitter over my base color.

So GLITTERRR!!!! Speaking of which... The Holidays are a-comin, which means you will be seeing A LOT of glitter and sparkle. Which means I need to keep up on my moisturizing so that my fingertips don't fall off with all the sparkly goodness I have to show you guys!!

Are any of these pretties speaking to you? They are awesome-o!! I know Hard Candy just released some new nail polish shades, and doing away with some of their current shades. I *think* these Three are still a part of their lineup though. Hard Candy polish is available at Walmart stores.

Thanks for stopping by!!

*insert giant Alaska Thunderf*ck* HIIIIIIIIII here.

Today I have half of Sations newest collection, Miss-Terranean. This lovely fall collection is made up of Six creamy beauties, all inspired by the Mediterranean vibe. I feel shitty that I only have half to show you. I do have the full collection in my hands, but I only got half swatched, before the moving madness began (back in and still in Florida, everything will be ok). I will eventually find, and unpack the rest of the collection and get it up on here for you guys.
What I did do, was swatch my Three faves first, and here they are!!
 photo SationMissTerranian_zps169c425c.jpg

Sation Don Wannabee
MMMMMMmmmmmMMMMM!!!!!!! So, Sation got me right in the feels with this gorg shade of, practically electric, Cobalt Blue creme. Don Wannabe was a hard shade to photograph as it was just so vibrant and beautiful. There are a bit of vibrant Violet undertones that just refused to photograph. It is just perfect. The formula is amazing on this shade. At first it seems a bit thin, but manageable. Then it is perfectly smooth, even, opaque and glassy in Two easy coats. Shown are two coats of color and NO top coat. DAT SHINE!!

Sation Hottie Biscotti
This shade is a beautiful take on the nudey, greige trend. The formula on this beauty is between a creme and a jelly (crelly). I loved the formula on Hottie Biscotti, because it gave this shade a beautiful squishy finish. I used Two easy coats for this shade as well. Oh, and one is also shown without a top coat.

 Sation Happy Wine-y People
I swatches this one because I was so on the fence about it, I just had to see it on. I only used Two coats, but I realized after looking at pics, I really should have done Three coats. Happy Wine-y People is a deep Ox-blood crelly with Plummy undertones. Shown are Two coats and no top coat. This shade is so vampy and just classic!

Missing from my swatches are I Need a Spumani (beautiful pistachio creme), Napoleon Dyna-Matte (vibrant red creme, wondering if it is a matte) and Tira-Miss U (lovely grey-lavender creme). As I said above, I really hope I can find and unpack these soon. I only have one of my Helmers with me right now. The other Three are in storage, don't worry though!! It is definitely climate controlled. I did pick a good Helmer to bring with me though. It is the one with all my Bettina, Cult Nails and A England goodies along with a lot more great nail art polishes.

At some point I WILLLLLL swatch the KBShimmer Blogger collection and I even have a set to give away! Very excited about that as I've not done a giveaway in a while. I'm also excited to show you guys my shade Merry Pinkmas. I know many bloggers have shown this collection, but I am so ashamed that I've not had a chance to sit and swatch those yet. I really need to make that my priority.

So back to Sation. I'm just in awe of Don Wannabe and I love the look of Hottie Biscotti. I think both of these shades would look amazing on so many skin tones. I need to see Happy Wine-y People done properly. That was the only shade I've had minor issues with from this group so far. I'm sure the rest will be fine though. Sation rarely disappoints, and to be honest.. I kinda suck at applying crelly- vampy shades. I seriously do, they make me nervous haha.

The entire collection is available now from www.misspn.com, $5 per shade

Any of these Three speaking to you??

Hey people hey! It's Thursday,

It's what?!! Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I for one am just a little blown away by how fast the year 2013 has felt for me. Did the Earth's speed pick up, are we spinning around the Sun faster? A lot has happened this year... Including my "discovery" of circle lenses!
Today I want to give you a quick, close up look at one of my favorite pairs. These are the Mari Gold in Blue by Geo.
 photo EosMarigoldBlues_zpsdb092d91.jpg
The reason why I wanted such an extreme closeup is because I really wanted to catch the reflection of the beautiful, Blue, micro sparkles that are embedded into these lenses. These have a 14.2mm diameter and a base curve of 8.6. Sadly, this particular style is only offered in "plano" (non script).
These don't have a whole lot of an enlarging effect, but they do give amazing defintion to the iris as the outer ring is fairly darkened. What I love about these is how natural they look over my light Green eyes. Yes, in these extreme close-ups you can see the "pixelation" of the lenses, but the fact is that they are beautifully smooth. The sparkles are subtle, I had no issues wearing these. They have actually become one of my favorite pairs. I love the soft gradient of Blue tones. I just love how beautiful they look over Green.
These babies are so comfy. Normally I can only wear most of my lenses for about Four hours or so. These pretties I wore for about Eight hours. I had absolutely no discomfort or blurring issues.

For full face shots you can head to my Instagram account (@L_T_H_P) or the Eye Candy's IG account as well (@eyecandyscom). These are available from eyecandys.com and retail for $26.88

I'm just in love with these, and kind of would love to have the entire family of colors. I think the flecks really give them that extra- special touch. These are just so comfortable as well.

Thanks for stopping by today loves. I'm so very sorry about my absence. It has been a sucky few weeks, but things should hopefully settle down soon... Mainly I just need to get my shiz together ♥.

Happy Humpday/ Thanksgiving Eve!!

Hooray for finally getting swatches of this amazing collection up!!! I am so very excited to share this collection. As you guys know, I am a HUGE fan of all things KBShimmer. When Christy asked me to be a part of her Holiday 2013 Collection I was beyond flattered, honored and just plain excited.
For this 11-piece release, Christy went to 11 of her fave bloggers for inspiration. I am just beyond amazed at every single creation. There is not a single shade here that I didn't love. There is a great range of classic, playful and just plain beautiful. Christy did, as usual, a fantastic job of bringing each bloggers vision to life. I had a BLAST creating my shade, and it was a thrilling process to see my dream holiday shade come to life. I am just so excited to be a part of such a beautiful collection, among so many talented ladies!
Quick note: I'm sorry if my pics seem a bit "off". My light set up has changed for the time being and I'm working my hardest to get them close to what they looked like previously. I think I finally have got a set up that works well and gives me consistency.

To read more about all these amazing creations, and the bloggers behind them just continue reading ♥.

KBShimmer Merry Pinkmas
:D:D!!! Say hello to Merry Pinkmas! This pink- based blend is my very own contribution to this collection. This shade is inspired by my yearly tradition of taking the Holiday mani and giving it a very Pink and girly twist. Originally this shade was going to have a White base, and then it hit me.. Make it Pink!!
So Merry Pinkmas  is a bubblegum Pink crelly base packed with Red, Green and Silver Hexes and dots. There are also Red micro- bars, small neon Green and neon Pink hexes. I wanted to have a fun blend of traditional Holiday colors, with a fun girly/ bright twist.
This baby is fairly packed with glitter. It is best to wait a minute between coats to prevent the chunky glitter particles from sticking together. The Pink crelly base is just a bit sheer and does best in Three thin coats. The spread of glitter is great, and there were no issues with the larger chunks. Shown are Three thin coats with a top coat. And of course, I am madly in love with my little Pinkmas Baby!!

KBShimmer Christmas Now
Christmas Now is a collaboration with Crystal's Crazy Combos. This shade is such a fun an unique look for the Holidays. I love the beautiful grass- Green crelly base. In this base there are dots, which represent ornaments. And squares, which are like little presents. There are also tons of light Green, holo stars. This shade is so playful, like a Christmas party on my nails.
This shade has a great formula, much like Merry Pinkmas, it is best to wait a second between coats to prevent the chunkier bits to sticking or dragging to the tip of the nail. Shown are Three thin and easy coats plus a top coat.

KBShimmer  Snow Much Fun
Snow Much Fun is a collaboration with the uber talented Manicurator. This shade is a beautiful Sky Blue crelly base packed with a perfect blend of White, Blue, Silver and prismatic twinkle. This shade is accented by adorable White snowflake shaped particles. Snow Much Fun was a surprise fave for me. I just love how icy and wintery it looks. I used Three thin and easy coats, plus top coat for my swatch.

KBShimmer Green Hex & Glam
Green Hex & Glam is a collab with Nails by Kayla Shevonne. This shade is so classy, yet sparkly and beautiful. This beautiful shade is like liquid Emeralds. K, the base is a stunning shade of deep Emerald  Green jelly packed with Silver prismatic hexes in varying sizes. The formula on this beauty is easy to work with and deliciously packed with sparkly goodness. I used Three thin and easy coats plus top coat for my swatch.

KBShimmer Will Yule Marry Me?
Will Yule Marry Me? is a collab with The Nail Network. This beauty was inspired by Chelsea's engagement, which took place on X-mas Eve last year, I believe. The story behind this pretty is really touching. This shade is a gaga-gorg shade of dusty navy crelly packed full of Silver Hologaphic dots and hexes in varying sizes as well as a lovely twinkle. I am mad for this shade and just LOVE how it looks like a star- lit sky. I used Two easy coats plus top coat for my swatch.

KBShimmer Strung Out
Strung Out is a collab with Candy Coated Tips. This fun, dotty mix is inspired by Twinkling Christmas lights. Strung Out is a playful mix of dots in varying sizes and colors as well as holo and red micro sparkle in the Black jelly base. This shade can be built up to full opacity on its own. That said, it is best to wait between coats. I can't wait to play with this shade and some layerings. Shown are Three thin coats and top coat.

KBShimmer Sand in my Stocking over Zoya Natasha
Sand in my Stocking is a collab shade with The Polishaholic. This shade is inspired by Jen's beachy sand-men ;). This shade is made of pure WIN. It really does look like sparkling sand, accented by Orange and Aqua dots, as well as Golden Stars.
This shade is packed with White and Gold glitter and really does mimic the look of sand. I seriously enjoyed this shade and how insanely packed with glitter it is. I used just one coat of glitter over my base color to achieve the look you see. Shown with top coat.

KBShimmer Toast-ess With the Mostest over KBShimmer Plum Tuckered Out
Toast-ess with the Mostest is a collab with Peachy Polish. This beautiful topper is inspired by Champagne bubbles!! I fell in love with this topper, pretty much immediately. Toast-ess With the Mostest is a great blend of Gold, Rose Gold and Silver dots and holo twinkle. The glitter spread is perfect and the chunky bits gave me no problems. I used one coat over my base color.

KBShimmer I Only Have Ice for You over KBShimmer I'd Rather be With Blue
I Only Have Ice for You is a collab with Chalkboard Nails. This topper is Winter Wonderland perfection. This is one of those glittery toppers that will look good over any and all shades. I Only Have Ice for You is a twinkling, blend of smaller holo glitter. This topper has fantastic coverage. Shown is one coat of sparkly goodness over my base color, plus top coat.

KBShimmer Plum Tuckered Out
Plum Tuckered Out is a collab with Pointless Cafe. This shade is a classy shade of Plum crelly, accented with vibrant Blue micro- sparkle. This shade is just classic and I just love the sparkle. The formula on this shade was easy to work with and built up to opacity in Three thin coats. Shown with top coat as well.

KBShimmer I'd Rather be With Blue
I'd Rather be with Blue is a collab with Cosmetic Sanctuary. This baby is a beautiful shade of sparkling Sky Blue. This stunner dries to a satin- matte finish. KBShimmer really works so wonders with her Satin mattes. The formula on this pretty is fantastic and does great in Two easy coats.

You can expect a giveaway soon!! Christy was kind enough to provide me with a full, second set of this collection.... So I want to share it with one lucky winner! I don't know if I can pick favorites in this group. There is such a great mix of playful, classic and versatile in this collection. It was just too much fun to be able to create a shade to share with everyone, as well as being a part of such a great lineup of bloggers and shades. Christy did such a great job on this collection.
I am really thrilled to see everyone's vision, and everyone's unique take on the Holidays. You can definitely expect that giveaway soon, as well as Pinkmas posts!! It's not Christmas in LTHP land until I make it pink ;).

Do you have any favorites in this group? Which are just screaming to you? I really hope you guys love my girly take on the Holidays. It was a blast to create my own holiday shade and give it my personal touch, Merry Pinkmas!!! I'm not sure if I will be posting tomorrow, so I want to take a moment to wish all those celebrating a happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. I hope you all get lots of yummy noms and fun family times.

Happy Friday!!

Six new limited edition Shadow Eyez= happy Cris. Milani has added Six new shades to their Shadow Eyez range. These babies will be available at CVS, Meijer, and Miani online. This group is made up of Five shimmering shades and one creamy matte shade.
 photo MilaniShadowEyezHoliday2013_zps3892b144.jpg
If you are a fan of Purple, this release was made with you in mind. The wear on these is absolutely ridiculous. When they say 12- hour wear, they really do mean it. I was walking around with my arm swatches for about a whole day. I am happy to report that there was absolutely no glitter fallout with the more shimmery shades.  There was also no smudging, fading or
Side note: I get asked quite frequently how I sharpen these pencils. I use my Urban Decay Grind House sharpener. I don't do anything special. I have also read that putting the pencils in a fridge before sharpening helps the process.
These should be becoming available soon in stores as well as online. These are limited edition and will retail for $6.99.
Snowy White: creamy matte white creme. Makes for a fantastic sticky base for bright eye shadows as well.
Lovely Frost: metallic Silver.
Romantic Violet: dusty, light lavender with slight Silver undertones.
Plum Amour: beautiful, light Plum shimmer with hints of Pink and Golden undertones.
Midnight Romance: deep, Blue-toned Amethyst Purple with Silver sparkle.
Charming Black: black creme with Shimmering Silver sparkle.

I didn't run into any problem shades while doing my swatches. As usual these were creamy, smooth and extremely pigmented. I have not had a chance to actually play with them yet, but I am really excited to do so. There isn't a great range of colors in this release, but the shades that they did release are beautiful. I really enjoyed the deeper Purples and I can't get enough of creamy, matte Whites. The shimmering Black is just beautiful as well. The Silver was an awesome surprise as it was almost foil- like in finish and not frosty at all. There is an absolute Holiday vibe to these and I love all the sparkling goodness.

Will you be picking any of these Shadow Eyez shades for the Holidays?

Zoya for Rolando Santana Nail Polish Trio Nail Art Look

Good morning and happy Thursday!!

Today I want to share this simple, yet eye-catching look I did using the Three shades that Zoya created for the Rolando Santana Spring/Summer 2014 line. The clothing line itself was inspired by the amazing Frida Kahlo (who I am only slightly obsessed with). These Three shades were created by Zoya and R. Santana to compliment the clothing line itself.
Saldy, I can't seem to find these for sale anywhere. The trio itself was a LE release. That said, Zoya has been known to add some of their special releases to seasonal collections. So, don't worry just yet. And if you guys are really, REALLY feeling these; you can let Zoya know on their FB page!! With that in mind though, I will be doing some comparisons for you guys. These shades are beautiful, and the formulas are perfection on all Three shades. However, they are not extremely unique and I think some older (still available) Zoya shades could be very comparable.
My initial reaction to this trio was a bit cold. I liked the shades, but was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to "do" with them. Then it came to me.. Mash em into a look!!! Separately, they did not do much for me.. Now, bring Maria, Natasha and Sara together; and you have one epic mani!
Zoya Sara, Maria and Natasha photo DSCN2905_zpsd372f5d1.jpg
For this look I started with a base of Natasha, Two coats. She is a beautiful shade of "foundation Beige". I cannot come up with a better description. I think if this polish was a foundation instead, it would in fact match my skin tone. I was convinced I would be completely indifferent to Natasha, but it was quite the opposite. She is chic and flattering, without trying too hard. Once my base color was dry I used a cosmetic sponge to create a gradient effect with Natasha and Maria. Maria is a classic shade of medium Red-toned Purple creme with slight Pink undertones. Let me tell you guys about how much I ADORED the Nude to Purple gradient. Something about this look was tickling my pickle.
I then added a coat of INM Northern Lights over my gradient and finished the look off by adding a dotted gradient over my gradient using Sara. Sara is a warm and Sunny shade of creamy Yellow. I was loving the finished look so much, I am already planing on re- creating the same look, in different colors for this weekend. But who knows, I might do them in these exact same colors. I really do love the finished look. Separately, these three shades are classically pretty... But together they are epically chic! I finished my whole look off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Because I loved my Natasha and Maria sparkling gradient so much, here is a pic sans Sara dots. This looked so painfully awesome in person. Now I want to try nude to color gradients with every color combo I can think of. I didn't build the Purple up to it's "full potential" because I wanted the gradient to look airbrushed and almost like a blush on my nails. I'm so stoked on how it turned out.

And for shigs, here are Two easy and effortless coats of Natasha. Even my mom commented on how much she loved this color, and she is not a nail gal. The funny thing about shades like Natasha, is that I'm always convinced I will hate them on me.. Then I get them on me and I just ADORE them. I think this shade will work on so many gals!

I'm really sorry it took me so long to get around to this amazing trio. I really do hope that Zoya adds them to future releases because I think many gals will enjoy these shades. But, as I said at the beginning of the post, I may be able to find some close cousins to these Three pretties.
Where you able to grab this trio when it was originally released? What are your thoughts on these Three pretties?

Hello everyone, and happy Tuesday!

Today I want to share some more Holiday releases from the amazing KBShimmer. Along with an 11- piece, blogger inspired, Holiday collection; KBShimmer also released Four Holiday themed creations of her own (as well as Seven new shifting multichromes which I will be covering sooooon). In this group Christy did One glitter topper, a jelly based beauty and Two of her signature epic creamy based glitter bombs.  Shall we get on with it?

All swatches are shown with a top coat for smoothness and shine.

KBShimmer Kringle All the Way over Bettina Jingle Belle
Kringle All the Way is a magical, dotty blend of traditional Holiday colors suspended in a clear base which is packed of tiny Holographic twinkle. There are dots in Green, Red, Silver, Light Gold and Light Green. I had no issues in the application of this fun and chunky topper. The bigger bits came out with no fishing and gave no issues come application time. I used Two coats of Kringle All the Way over my base color. Doesn't it look like little scattered ornaments? I just adore this.

EDIT: Don't forget to buy your bottle of Kringle All The Way by the 13th, and $4 per bottle will be donated to Toys For Tots!

KBShimmer All Elf'd Up
Fun fact: So, initially when Christy and I were discussing my collab shade for her blogger collection (Merry Pinkmas), this is kinda what we had come up with (I still have all Four prototypes ;).. And then I had an "aha- moment" and decided to make the base Pink and to add neon bits to make it more "LTHP- esque".
I was so happy so see that Christy went ahead and refined the shade and released a White based crelly with a Holiday glitter blend. All Elf'd Up is a blend of traditional Red, Green Silver and White glitter in varying Hex sizes and micro bars. As usual the formula on this baby was magical and was good to go in Three thin coats. The spread of the glitter is perfect, and the coverage of the White base is dead on. Peppermint Bark anyone?

Edit: KBShimmer Snow Flaking Way
Snow Flaking  Way= MUCH EPIC! This baby is a Royal/ Grape Purple jelly base packed of Silver, Holo and Burple glitter as well a Holo snowflake shaped glitter. I had no luck getting the snowflakes out, but I could care less. I was completely smitten with the shade of Purple of the base jelly. The glitter makes this twinkle in the most beautiful way. I used Three thin coats for full and even coverage. Purple lovers NEED this beauty.

KBShimmer When Doves Sigh
When Doves Sigh is a soft Grey crelly, packed full of micro Twinkle and accented by glitters in varying shapes and sizes in an array of Fuchsia, Aqua, Purple and Blue. This shade is SOOO KBShimmer. She always woks wonders with her Blends of Aquas, Pinks and Purples. I am madly in love with the soft Grey base and how the colors pop against it. I used Three thin coats for full coverage.

I'm hoping to catch up on a bunch of stuff today. My goodness, we are practically Half-way through December and I've not managed to do a single Holiday mani o.O... For shame.. Anywho, I plan on doing some of that today. I also really want to get the amazing KBShimmer Multichromes swatched for you guys. They are seriously mind-blowing. I'm actually doing a mini vid for all of them to show the amazing shift as no amount of photos would do them justice.

Don't forget that my KBShimmer Blogger Holiday Collection giveaway is still going until Midnight EST tomorrow. Good luck and thank you to everyone participating!!!

I really love all of these so much. Kringle All the Way and Snow Flaking Way definitely have stolen my heart. Any faves here?

Happy Humpday!!

Today I want to share an outfit post with you guys. This past weekend was a BEAUTIFUL one here in Sarasota, Fl. So, this past Sunday Daniel and I were kinda bored and I asked him if he was up for an impromptu mini shoot. The amazing people behind Burning Artists Collective spoiled me rotten a few weeks back. I really can't express my gratitude enough. But what I can do, is have some kick ass times in their clothing and document it for you guys haha. I like to think I'm fierce now and then (insert "lols" here).
  photo BACXOAmerica_zps1bb39a94.jpg
This post is all about my amazeballs XO America Leggings. These pop art inspired leggings were a perfect fit for this mini shoot. We headed to this park, where every year they do an exhibition of amazing sculptures by artists all around the world.
I paired my Black and White leggings with a bright Orange top I spotted at Ross (THANKS DAD!!), some simple sandals from Ami Club Wear and accessories from Chantilly Fashion, Nail Veils and Like a Cat Jewelry.
I seriously love this top. It is so soft, flowy and flattering. The color was perfect against the B&W striped leggings, and created a neat contrasting look.
These leggings feature a cool "X's and O's" pattern on the left bum cheek and back lower right calf. The vertical stripes really elongate my legs and gives a slimming effect. What girl doesn't love an item of clothing that makes them look taller and slimmer?
For reference, I am only 5'5" and weigh about 110 lbs (I wear an XS across the board in BAC clothing). I'm def not very tall, but the leggings seem to adjust to my height and there was no bunching of fabric at the ankles.

I love how my necklace looks in this photo. As a matter of fact, I just LOVE this necklace.. So much so that I've named her Roberta (if Ru Paul can name his wigs, I can name my necklaces hahaha). This beauty came from the talented Brittany of Chantilly Fashion. She does beautiful and whimsical pieces of jewelry.  I am also wearing cute little "gear" earrings from the steampunky Like a Cat Jewelry. I stumbled upon these ladies at Tampa Comic Con and just fell in LOVE with their vibe and creations. Sunnies are from Target.

How 'bout a close up shot of my Chantilly Fashion necklace and circle knuckle ring by the talented Su of Chronicle Stones and Nail Veils. On my nails was the mind-blowing KBShimmer Rollin' with the Chromies.

I take a walk, take a walk, take a walk... Great.. Now I have Passion Pit going through my head...  Sarasota can be beautiful some times.

Mandatory "goofing shot" haha. There were so many of these neat "rock people" sculptures. They were like something out of Dr. Who.

I could go for more days like this one. I could also go for a drop of a few degrees in temperature. C'mon Florida hahah!!! People everywhere are getting snow and I'm here in my Bikini getting ready to lay out and catch some rays.
Back to BAC for a minute lol. So the XO America legs by Silver Seed designs are actually on sale right now! They are down from $62.50 to $29.95. That is a SWEEEEEET deal. These are great quality and have a great fit as well. BAC is killing me right now with all their new collabs as well. They have teamed up with some amaaaazing artists for the new collections. If you are into art and fashion, or art as fashion... You will definitely dig the BAC vibe.

Thank you all for stopping by today. Don't forget you guys still have ONE more day to enter my KBShimmer Giveaway!! As always, a huge thanks to my patient and supportive husband for snapping beautiful pictures of my outfit and the scenery.

Merry PINKmas! Cute Stamps and Gradients and Sparkles. Oh My!

Happy Thursday!!

Pinkmas is here!!! Slowly but surely, I've started getting into the Holiday spirit. It is kinda hard to get with the program when it is December, but I can still lay out and get a tan. C'mon.. I know it's Florida and all, but catch up already Mother Nature haha! Anywho, I sat down to play with some polishes yesterday and I ended up with this simple, but cute Pinkmas look.
PINKMAS! photo PinkmasLook1_zps7bc6afcf.jpg
For this look I started with a base of Barielle Pink Flip Flop. I then did a PInky gradient using Barielle Pink Flip Flop and Cosmic Kiss. Then came the sparkly part. I added a coat of Zoya Mosheen from their Zenith Holiday collection. Adding this magical glitter glaze gave my gradient an icy, wintery look. Mosheen is just BEAUTIFUL! It is an icy blend of micro bars and sparkles in a very , very light Blue jelly base. The sparkles themselves are very iridescent, twinkly and just beautiful. I only needed one coat of Mosheen to get good coverage as the glaze is fairly thick and packed with sparkle.
Once my sparkling gradient was dry I went back and added some stamped details. I used Konad Black special polish for my stamps. The designs came from Cheeky plate CH6 and Pueen plate Pueen42. To finish the whole look off I did a top coat of Seche Vite.

And because I just ADORED this sparkling gradient, here is a pic pre stamps. I think Holiday Barbie would rock these. Mosheen gave my Pink shades just the right touch of Blue tint without altering the Pinks too much. I had contemplated stopping here because I loved this gradient and Mosheen so much.
 photo ZoyaMosheen_zps66b6b72c.jpg

And here is a shot of my base color Pink Flip Flop. This is an adorable shade of Strawberry milk shake Pink creme. The formula on this baby is just perfect and does great in Two easy coats. This color has a very smooth and creamy formula.

Pinkmas is here!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this look. Oh and if you were on the fence about Mosheen.. Don't be! It is absolutely magical and beautiful. I have a feeling she will be making a few more appearances during this season and when it (hopefully) cools down.

Thanks for stopping by today!!
