So.much. YES! Say hello to the newest nail color collection by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. This is the Unknown pleasures collection for Fall 2014. This collection is made up six, all- new, shades inspired by the runways of New York Fashion Week. To celebrate this beautiful collection launching TODAY; I brought all six shades together for this highly embellished look. More after the jump. Even more exciting news from the OCC front. Starting today OCC nail color will be carried in Sephora stores. ALSO, you will be able to shop the entire OCC line on Beautylish.com :D!! I am really excited to see this amazing brand become easily available because everyone should try an OCC color at least once in their lives.
These six shades are so clearly, and perfectly, "Fall". They are dark, moody and grungy and they completely speak to my polish-loving soul. All six of these shades perfectly compliment each other and were a complete joy to work with.
I used all six of the shades in the OCC Unknown Pleasures collection (swatches from Vampy Varnish HERE). I am still completely amazed with the formulations of every single shade. When I say that they are flawless, I absolutely mean it. It also seems that OCC has finally gone to a nice flat brush, so their polishes are officially perfect.OCC Technopagan (holding in photos)- an amazing "blurple" shimmery/metallic.
OCC Dangerous- a true concrete grey creme.
OCC Pagan- a beautiful inky indigo creme-jelly.
OCC Covet- the most amazing shade of camel nude creme.
OCC Poison- blackened forest green metallic shimmer.
OCC Distortion- blackened navy blue metallic shimmer.
I used nail vinyls and regular striping tape to create the patterns on my nails. The beauuuuutiful midi-ring with metal nail aplique was created by the talented Su Laing of Nail Veils. I am so in love with the slightly medieval feel adding the Nail Veil gave the finished look. I feel like these are simultaneously "too much" and absolutely amazing haha. I topped all my nails off with a coat of Seche Vite. My index nail was topped with a coat of Twee & Honey This is Mateness matte top coat.
You can shop the OCC Unknown Pleasures collection for Fall online starting today :D and in Sephora stores starting soon. The nail colors retail for $10.00 each. I give this collection a HUGE thumbs up. This is a limited edition release. These six shades perfectly capture the essence of the Fall season for me.
Are you guys as excited about these colors as I am? I always get way too excited when Fall shades come around ;).
