Hello and happy Thursday!
Today I want to share some of my favorite nails I have ever done. I'm calling these my ultimate mermaid nails. Back when I first received my set of Inglot nail and body spangles, I just knew this look had to happen. I'd also done a "disco mermaid" version of these some months ago for LTHP's birthday. These though!! THESEEEEE!!!!
For these ultra mermaid nails I started with a base of Milani's Blue Zoom. Once my base color was top coated and dry I started to work on my spangle placements. I worked on one nail at a time. I used a slow drying top coat and set my spangles in an overlapping pattern. Once I was done placing the spangles on all my nails I did a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat to seal my "scales".
I used Inglot Spangles in #23. These pretties have an amazing duochrome effect. They all shift from Sapphire Blue to Emerald Green and Copper at extreme angles. These were the perfect colors and shape for this look I had been dreaming of for months. These Inglot spangles are also very easy to work with :D.
I am so madly in love with how these turned out. They may have even come out better than I had envisioned. It is always such a great feeling to see a mani I had been wanting do come to life beautifully.
